About the Job

Summus Healthcare is adding an accounting professional to join our Finance and Accounting Team at our corporate office. They will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial data and be able to provide operational recommendations based on their findings. They will produce periodic activity updates and report to the Controller and/or VP of Accounting.

What are we looking for?

• Proven working experience as Staff Accountant
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• BS degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred but not required

What will you do?

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including:
  • Month and end-year process
  • Accounts payable/receivable
  • Cash receipts
  • General ledger
  • Payroll and utilities
  • Treasury, budgeting
  • Cash forecasting
  • Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
  • Capital assets reconciliations
  • Check runs
  • Fixed asset activity
  • Debt activity
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles

What are the details?

• This is a full-time, in-office position.
• Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Compensation commensurate with experience.
